We recommend purchasing your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Check our opening times before your visit
Planning your visit:
Visitors to the site who do not wish to cross the bridge can access the coastal pathways and the viewpoint for free by foot. It is essential for visitors who wish to experience crossing the bridge to pre-purchase a timed ticket.
The timed ticket to cross the bridge is valid for 1 hour. The bridge is a 1km walk from the car park, please allow enough time to reach the steps of the bridge for your crossing. The last arrival time to collect your ticket from the ticket office is 15 minutes before the expiry time on the ticket. If you arrive late we cannot honour your booking and you will not receive a refund.
How do I receive my ticket if I buy online?
You will receive an e-ticket sent to the email address you provide when your purchase is complete. You must bring this e-ticket with you on your visit date.
How do I know if my order has been successful?
At the end of your purchase and once payment has been confirmed, your screen will display your e-ticket. You will receive another copy of your e-ticket sent to the email address you provided.
What payment options do you accept?
To purchase tickets online we accept both debit and credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express.
Is your ticket site secure?
Yes it's a fully secure site. When you reach the payment section of the site, you will enter a secure area and your personal information is encrypted using SSL (secure socket layer) technology to process your credit/debit card transactions. To protect you against credit card fraud, you will be asked to enter the unique security code on the back of your card.

Can I exchange or refund my ticket?
No, all tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
National Trust Members:
National Trust members get free admission but are required to have a timed ticket to experience crossing the bridge. National Trust members can pre-book their tickets in advance. When they arrive they must show their valid membership card along with their e-ticket.
Tickets for Children:
Children under 5 get free admission and do not require a ticket. Family tickets include two adults and up to three children under the age of 18.
The terrain along the 1km walk of the cliff path can be uneven and rocky in parts and includes stone steps and steep slopes on the final section to bridge. It is advised to wear sensible footwear. Disabled visitors to Carrick-a-Rede are entitled to a free ticket for their carer. These tickets cannot be booked in advance but will be issued on arrival. Read our full access statement here.
Please note in adverse weather conditions it may be necessary to close the bridge. In this instance your booking will be processed for refund.
